Digital Design Verification Engineer

Description:
Johnson Service Group is looking for a Digital Design Verification Engineer for one of our Clients in ME. As a member of the Technical Staff (MTS) on the Digital Design Engineering team you will have the opportunity to lead projects and define best in class digital flow methodologies. You will be a key lead contributor on a small but important team of digital engineers who add the brains to highly complex analog products.

Responsibilities:

Shape methodology and flows to help improve execution quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional Analog Designers, Application Engineers, Test Engineers, and Product Engineers to write micro-architecture specifications.
Design and verify RTL code in a mixed signal chip.
Develop UVM-based testbenches and functional coverage to validate chip-level behavior (digital, analog, and digital/analog interface) and achieve first-pass silicon.
Develop and execute verification plans using software such as vManager.
Use AMS and similar mixed mode simulators to validate analog circuit behavior with digital components
Collaborate with and lead/motivate an international team to meet project schedule and quality goals.
Contribute on multiple projects that are essential to the mobile application space: battery charging, power management, interface signaling, audio systems, etc.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or Computer Engineering, Master’s Degree a plus
5+ years of professional experience in digital design, verification, and synthesis or equivalent experience.
Solid understanding of verification best practices such as verification planning, requirements tracking, and functional coverage required
Micro-architecture experience
Experience working with product applications engineers to help define new products and new product flows
Experience with silicon debug, and solving complex system issues
Proven track record of project and team leadership, and the ability to communicate with a local and international team.
Experience with RTL, UVM, and SystemVerilog
Ability to break down complex tasks and delegate to a small team
Ability to manage project constraints and make good tradeoff decisions to ensure the project is successful
Mixed-mode verification experience a plus
Experience using Cadence or Synopsys a plus
Salary starting at $120k
