Leads work with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements on complex multi-tiered projects. Leads analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Leads testing and validation work on complex system designs to assure that operational and functional requirements are met. Works with other to develop program test strategies. Manages performance of critical suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Conducts program independent reviews and reports results to program leadership. Provides critical support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Leads research into technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments. Recognized as a business unit-wide expert in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration and installation design and resolving supplier technical issues.
Job Title - LabVIEW Electrical Support Equipment Design Engineer Level 5 Contractor
MUST HAVE LABVIEW EXPERIENCE
Work on many different platforms such as Bombers
Apply knowledge and experience to rapidly maintain, modify, and develop LabVIEW products in a Lab environment for a variety of technical scenarios
Coordinate and lead LabVIEW activities with teammates, customers, and program personnel through the development and sustainment of various Company systems
Develop and mentor teammates through the development of a variety of LabVIEW efforts including signal generation using NIFPGA DIO
Implement basic communication protocols such as GPIB, UDP, and Serial to interface with embedded systems
Support project management by tracking and reporting project status, by generating bids and requirements, and by providing work statement, budget, and schedule
Other job responsibilities may include:
Review supplier and partner qualification data for Electronic Products compatibility
Analyze customer and system requirements and development of architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products
Develop high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications
Identify, track, and status technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements
Plan research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs
Additional Skills:
Skills: | Bachelor's degree with 14 or more years' experience, Master's degreee with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. |
