Job Title: Senior Pipe Support Engineer Structural NS&E

Citizenship: US Citizenship Required

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Pipe Support Engineer with expertise in structural engineering for our Nuclear, Security & Environmental (NS&E) sector. The role involves locating and designing supports for various piping systems, performing related calculations using GT Strudl, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes. Collaboration with layout personnel, pipe stress engineers, other engineering disciplines, and vendors is essential to deliver a quality, cost-effective design.

Key Responsibilities

Design and locate supports for piping systems, performing calculations with GT Strudl according to DoD UFC standards, AISC, and ASME B31.3 codes.
Apply standard pipe supports and review/approve layouts and isometrics as needed.
Maintain knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and relevant piping codes.
Utilize GT Strudl for pipe support frame analysis.
Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
US Citizenship.
Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Minimum Qualifications:

Proficiency in reviewing and approving piping layouts and support requirements in accordance with DoD standards and ASME B31.3.
Experience with stress analysis software.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with DoD projects for Risk Category 5 facilities.
Proficiency with structural frame analysis software.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
Previous experience on related projects.
