Description:
Position Summary:

To develop and maintain maintenance steps based on Engineering designs. This position will coordinate with all departments: quality, engineering, logistics, and production for the development of clear work instructions for implementation.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop maintenance and repair processes and instructions from engineering drawings for aircraft modifications in accordance with approved documentation, regulations, and customer and quality requirements.
Improve maintenance efficiency by developing detail installation/fabrication instructions to meet the intent of engineering drawings.
Act as coordinator between the production floor, quality, engineering, and logistics to ensure the instructions meet all requirements for each department.
Contribute to the Repair Station development with the implementation of lean initiatives and methodologies.
Act as a positive role model in all aspects of professional performance.
Observe safety procedures and personnel policies.
Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required in fields such as Industrial, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering Preferred.
Experience:

Minimum 5 years' (recent) experience in technical writing from aircraft engineering drawings.
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

Rely on instructions and established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Highly organized individual who is able to work with limited supervision.
An integrity driven professional who will ensure all work is of a quality that is expected from an OEM.
Computer literate: MS Project & MS Office Suite required. CAD experience is helpful.
Must be able to interact cordially and productively with subordinates, co-workers, and supervisors.
Able to interpret drawings and specifications of aircraft proficiently.
