Sr. Heat Transfer Analyst

Description:
A Heat Transfer Analyst position is currently available at Belcan in Cincinnati, OH. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, and Five+ years of experience in gas turbine component and system analysis and design. In this job your primary responsibility is thermal and fluid network analysis and modeling for large gas turbine system design, build, integration, and test activities. You will report to the Belcan Cincinnati Heat Transfer Group Leader as a key member of an integrated product team to develop, optimize, integrate, deliver, and transition engineering designs to production.

Heat Transfer Analyst job duties:
* Generate and maintain ownership of gas turbine component HT analytical models
* Ensure that models are systematically checked and validated.
* Collaborate on gas turbine component and system level design, including the assessment of detailed design changes on the whole system performance, reliability, and cost
* Maintain strong communication with internal and external customers as well as management and peers
* Oversee and mentor junior analysis team members

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
* 5+ years of heat transfer analysis experience in gas turbine or propulsion system hot section components
* Experienced with the Ansys Heat Transfer module
* Working knowledge of other thermal analysis software
* Proficiency in understanding technical drawings
* Capability to assess the quality and impact of design changes in the context of a larger system
* Due to the nature of our work US Citizenship is required. Must have an active DoD secret clearance or be clearable to obtain after hire. #cjobs

Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
* Ten or more years of experience in or supporting the gas turbine industry
* Experience with Pthermal, and FlowSimulator
