Our passionate stress team supports, both short term and long term, in-service engineering structural repairs. Our vital role is to ensure the structural integrity of the aircraft repairs by performing various stress analyses of static strength, Fatigue/Durability, Damage Tolerance and Finite Element Model (FEM). We work hand in hand with Design, and other Engineering teams to provide an amazing customer experience.

In your role, you will:
  • Support design engineering and customer support organization.
  • Perform various stress analyses on repairs: Static strength Fatigue/Durability, damage Tolerance, and Finite element Model (FEM) on multi-platform aircraft programs .
  • Prepare stress reports, static strength as well as damage tolerance analysis for compliance purposes.
  • Carry out stress calculations to assess design solutions and repair trade studies.
  • Review repair engineering drawings and participate actively in the development of in-Service solutions.
  • Provide clear visibility to management of the status and/or emerging issues to the supported repair activities.
 
 
    Qualifications
 
As our ideal candidate,
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering;
  • you have a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry.
  • You have experience in Aircraft Structural substantiation analysis: Static, Fatigue/Durability, and an excellent knowledge and experience of structural Damage Tolerance Analysis.
  • You have experience using Patran/Nastran, Nasgro, CATIA V5.
  • You have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • You are a confident, knowledgeable and energetic person with excellent communication and listening skills that is able to work in a team environment.
  • You must also be a person with initiative, strong sense of responsibility and good engineering judgment.

This Permanent role is based in Montreal Canada, onsite working. Candidates must hold the rights to live and work in Canada.
