Description:
We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a global leader in Aircraft Systems Manufacturing located in the Huntsville, AL area.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide expert systems engineering support to the development of small satellites, projectiles, missiles, and sensor systems.
Serve as the lead systems engineer and/or technical lead on a critical/high visibility project. Demonstrate strong communication skills with and between customers, team members, task leads, functional managers, and program management to facilitate rapid resolution of technical and program issues.
Expert application of systems engineering skills, to include:
Deep knowledge of system and derived requirements development and verification activities.
Adept at developing system concepts of operation. Identifying, understanding and capturing customer and other stakeholder needs. Guiding collaboration with engineering teams and program/project management to translate stakeholder needs into technical design requirements and interfaces.
Proficient at risk management, to include risk identification and mitigation planning. Plan systems engineering activities and lead technical staff members to satisfy tasking.
Make technical presentations during working groups and peer reviews, or to senior management or customers as required.
Lead development, review, editing, and production of technical documents, digital products, and proposals as required.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree, or Ph.D. in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows: twelve or more years of experience with a bachelors degree; ten or more years with a masters degree; seven or more years with a Ph.D. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.

Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and MBSE tools such as MagicDraw is highly desirable. Experience using DOORS or Jama requirements management tools is highly desirable. INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) is highly desirable.
