Structural Analysis Engineer - Level 2 / Level 3

Description:
Inconen is looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer - Level 2 / Level 3 for our client, a well-known Aerospace Company, in Canoga Park, CA.

**Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen without Dual Citizenship**
**Our client mandates that all employees and contractors must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19**
**We are seeking a highly reliable structural analyst that has at least 1 full year of recent experience using ANSYS to solve both linear and non-linear finite element models. This person must also have a demonstrated ability to perform structural analyses utilizing classic hand-calculation methods. Excellent communication skills and the ability to generate high quality analysis reports and presentation materials is a must. Additionally, candidates with recent hardware experience within the aerospace or engine sector are preferred far above airframe experience. Candidates with significant or recent employment gaps are not preferred.**

Duties:
Working under minimal direction:
80% Perform structural modeling and analysis:
-Assist other analysts and designers engaged with development and production of new and existing rocket engines, propulsion system components and secondary structure.
-Perform structural analyses utilizing classic hand-calculation methods and finite element models.
-Construct and solve static and dynamic finite element models with ANSYS.
-Participate in test planning and execution. Correlate structural models to test results.
-Interpret analytical results, assess design margins and prepare technical reports.
-Develop and modify macros and programing to run and post process duty cycle loads
-Generate and provide analysis reports and presentation materials to analysis team and customers documenting FEM and analysis results.
-Good written and oral communication skills are required.
10% - Report status and results of analysis tasks at design and program reviews.
10% - Prepare technical reports documenting all analysis activities.

Skills:
-Demonstrated experience performing linear, non-linear and structural dynamic analyses to support design, development and production qualification of new or updated products is required.
-Proficiency using finite element analysis tools such as ANSYS is required.
-Knowledge and experience with aerospace product development efforts is desired.
-Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Power Point) is required.
-Position requires U.S. Citizenship.

Education:
-BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Mechanics.
-At least 1 year of engineering experience with structural analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
