Mechanical Engineer- Heavy Truck

Description:
A Mechanical Engineer job in Florence KY is available through TriMech Services. In this role you will be working under the direction of the Systems Engineer, the ME will make calculations or other analysis methods in support of proper design at the component or subsystem level. The ME will also work collaboratively with the Designers on the program to ensure that the calculated features are properly implemented in the 3D Model. The ME will also work closely with the assigned Designers in the completion of the drawing package.

Key Job Requirements:

Create engineering calculations/analyses of assigned hardware to customer requirements
Provide Designers and more junior Engineers with technical guidance
Provide work estimates required for their assigned components or subsystems
Responsible for implementing Engineering Changes (EC’s) on assigned hardware
Highlights technical risks to the Systems Engineer when appropriate
Utilize experience with Siemens NX, FEA(ANSYS), and MS Project experience
Must have excellent data documentation experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
Mechanical Engineer- Vehicle Systems

TriMech is currently supporting several defense contract efforts in the support of US Airforce Efforts in the Cincinnati, OH & Florence, KY markets. We are looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer (ME) to support these efforts. The ME will make calculations or other analysis methods in support of proper design at the component or subsystem level. The ME will also work collaboratively with the Designers on the program to ensure that the calculated features are properly implemented in the 3D Model. The ME will also work closely with the assigned Designers in the completion of the drawing package.

Required Experience:

8-10 years of mechanical engineering experience which would include vehicle based systems
Experience supporting engineering efforts for Heavy Trucks (Commercial or Military) is preferred
Previous engineering experience with Hydraulics, Suspension, and steering systems

Key Job Requirements:

Model Based Definition (MBD) or 3D PDF’s experience is a plus
Must have excellent data documentation experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Education Requirements:

Seeking degreed engineer with Mechanical, General, Electro/Mechanical, Mechatronics
