Aeronautical Engineer

Description:
This position is for a thermodynamics technical lead for a classified advanced development program. You will lead a small team to develop new technologies in the area of thermal management to be used on future platforms.

-- Provide technical analysis for complex problems involving heat transfer and thermodynamics.
-- Mentor junior team members in thermal analysis and thermodynamics tools and best practices.
--Develop thermal management technology roadmaps, and support new business capture.

Basic Qualifications :
-- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, equivalent experience/combined education considered
-- Significant experience with thermodynamics, conduction, convection, and radiation heat transfer.
-- Thermal management system design, analysis, testing
-- Modelling experience with at least one of the following: MSC Sinda, Sinda/Fluint, Thermal Desktop

Desired skills :
-- Masters or PhD in related discipline
-- Thermodynamics, Environmental Control Systems (ECS), Power and Thermal Management Systems (PTMS), Propulsion or Flight Sciences experience.
-- Thermal management system design, analysis, testing
-- Experience with high speed aircraft, weapon, or space flight vehicle thermal research or design
-- Strong experience with common thermal analysis tool sets. Ability to develop tools for analysis automation and optimization.
-- Experience with test execution and empirical analysis.
-- Ability to lead a team of engineers in a dynamic, cross-disciplinary business environment.
-- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
-- Ability to effectively communicate technical information with customers and management.
-- Demonstrated leadership of a technical research team, in an industry or academic setting
--Patents, published papers, or dissertations in relevant areas of research.

-- Thermal management system design, analysis, testing
-- Modelling experience with at least one of the following: MSC Sinda, Sinda/Fluint, CFD codes
-- Experience with one of the following programming languages (C++, Fortran)
