Summary:

    Performs final component installation and systems operational functional testing. Troubleshoots pre-flight and post-flight functions for delivery. FAA Airframe & Powerplant license required. Employees in this classification may exercise duties and privileges granted under that certificate. Commercial Airplanes is hiring for an Experienced Flight Readiness Technician Inspectors (FRTI) (Level C) for Multiple Shifts in North Charleston, South Carolina. This position will support the Delivery Center Team. Qualified candidates will perform routine final component installation and verification, as well as, systems operational functional validation testing. Flight Readiness Technicians perform rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, including, troubleshooting pre and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions for delivery.

Position Responsibilities:
    Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing. Inspects pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and documents faulty components. Conducts pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs inspections of maintenance and modification actions. Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products. Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection. Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery. Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives. Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    Must be able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends. Minimum 1+ year of Avionics and/or electrical experience. Minimum 1+ year experience with computing & operating systems. Conducts pre-flight and post-flight checks High School diploma/GED) or above Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.
    Inspects pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and documents faulty components.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    FAA Airframe & Powerplant license. Minimum 1+ year Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience. Minimum 1+ year 787 Program Experience.
