Our Canadian Aerospace client, is a global leader, creating innovative and game-changing aircraft. They are a global organization focused on working together with a team spirit. You will be part of the Simulation team in Engineering. The Simulation team is responsible for the development of simulation models to support the engineering teams  for the design, development, testing and certification of the aircraft. The team is also responsible to develop and maintain an engineering flight simulator (REFS) easily reconfigurable to adapt to platforms’ needs.

The team is supporting all of our client's platforms including all specialized aircraft.

In your role, you will:

  • Be a key designer of our ground test rigs (real-time, multi-core computer hardware and software architecture).
  • Develop methods to integrate and test hardware in our ground test rigs (including interfaces).
  • Develop methods to integrate and test simulation models (at system and aircraft level).
  • Support aircraft and system model validation and verification studies.
  • Document and present technical work to the subject matter experts.
 

Qualifications    

As our ideal candidate
  • You hold a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in engineering.
  • You have a minimum of 10 years of pertinent experience in hardware integration (including LRU, data acquisition system…) and testing (real-time ethernet based communication protocol as UDP and TCP).
  • You have experience programming or designing real-time computer systems.
  • You have experience working on real-time simulation devices.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of real-time and non-real-time simulation model development and integration.
  • You have a good understanding of the interaction between the flight dynamics, control laws and systems models.
  • You have working knowledge of Matlab/Simulink (including programming).
  • Knowledge in QNX operating system is an asset.
  • You are rigorous and self-motivated.
  • You are a team player, promoting collaborative approach to achieve the company’s objectives.
  • You must have good written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of French is an asset.
This position is for fulltime employment in Canada. Candidates must hold the right to live and work in Canada. Canadian and USA citizens.
