Job Description:
Level 3 Nondestructive Test Engineer position experienced in aerospace and/or military applications. The position requires a Level 3 knowledgeable in interpreting x-ray and n-ray images of ordinance hardware and experienced in fluorescent penetrant, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic inspection techniques. The position requires the ability to articulate concepts, concerns, and systems problems to technical professionals to initiate resolutions. Knowledge of discrepant material procedures (i.e., nonconformance reporting) Material Review Board (MRB), and corrective action is highly desirable. This position works independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to interpret engineering documentation and inspect to drawings, inspection plans, and supplemental instructions as well as generate nondestructive inspection requirements. Candidate should be fluent in use of Microsoft applications and ability to learn new computer programs/applications.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be certified Level 3 in x-ray, n-ray, and fluorescent penetrant and must have recent work experience under a certified quality management systems (e.g. AS9100, ISO9001, etc.). The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communications, along with interpersonal skills that aid in achieving both primary and multi-departmental goals. Candidate musts have a work history with ten (10) or more continuous years with a demonstrate knowledge of nondestructive testing techniques. Hands-on knowledge of inspection methods and techniques, and the ability to work effectively with NDT professionals at supplier facilities. The ideal candidate will have a track record of working closely with engineering and procurement professionals in the product assurance process to ensure the highest quality of procured hardware. This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.

A Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 10 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidate shall possess related work experience working in a manufacturing environment and have experience auditing supplier’s NDT process. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to work with minimal oversight and in a multi-discipline team environment, providing insight and solutions to complicated issues both technical and procedural.

Work related experience should demonstrate increasing levels of responsibility.
