Stress Analysis Engineer (J2 Wing)

REQUIRED: DOD Active Secret Clearance w/ last investigation within 5 years

Min years of experience: 10 years



Basic Job Description: Scope

The scope of this task is outlined below. Execution of this scope will be under the supervision of the JASSM program management and engineering.
Provide structural analysis support for engineering signoff through completion of deliverables as defined herein.
Provide materials for program reviews and Technical interchange Meetings on a monthly interval through completion of deliverables as defined herein
Complete the structural analysis safety of flight report for the J2 wing.
Shall maintain the finite element model using the BetaCAE software portfolio through completion of deliverables as defined herein.
Special Skills

Minimum of 10 years' experience with structural analysis and simulation.
Experience at Advanced Nonlinear structural analysis using NX Nastran.
Experience with BetaCAE pre and post processing finite element software.
Expert at scripting in both MATLAB and Python.
Experience with cruise missile wing design and structural analysis.
Reports, Data, and Deliverable Items

The deliverables are defined below:

Structural analysis safety of flight report for the 12 wing in the LMMFC approved format and released within the LMMFC configuration management system.
A wing level structural finite element model that represents the most recent Engineering configuration used to generate results for the structural analysis within the safety of flight report.
Degree Requirements: BS in Engineering related field
