Technical Designer-Engines Tooling

Description:
A Technical Designer-Engines Tooling job in Kent, WA is currently available through Belcan. The Technical Designer-Engines Tooling job will Design and maintain component and assembly product definition by preparing design layouts and drawings, modifying existing designs and resolving design discrepancies This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Technical Designer-Engines Tooling duties:

* Apply Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly
* Apply relevant company, industry (design, drafting, parts) techniques to plan, lay-out, and
maintain data depicting engineering designs (detail, assembly and installation drawings)
* Apply relevant company, industry (design, drafting, parts) techniques to plan, lay-out, and
maintain data depicting engineering designs (detail, assembly and installation drawings)
* Implement engineering and manufacturing best practices to achieve a balanced approach to
cost, schedule and performance requirements
* Self-prioritize and self-schedule work activity in support of the team
* Assist in the development and deployment of reasonable standards for drafting.
* Support drafting standards checking and training for the team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* 5+ years of experience designing/drafting structural parts, precision components, and/or
subsystems
* Proficiency in Creo Pro/E and Pro/E Piping, Sheet Metal, and Mechanism
* Experience with mechanical and weldment design and component integration Experience
creating and maintaining family tables; ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
* Strong work ethic with a high attention to detail and level of organization
* Extensive knowledge of precision machined component design and manufacturing
* Experience managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings
* Extensive experience and knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance

Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
