Software Asset Management Specialist

Description:
****MUST be a U.S. Citizen without Dual Citizenship****

Duties:
Software Asset Management Specialist in Customer Information Technology Department, to be involved in the management of software acquisition, compliance, maintenance renewals, life cycle planning and costing and to provide oversight of hardware assets managed by the IT Outsource Organization.

1. Facilitate the business' needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.
2. Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services. Follow through with vendors and customer to obtain identified savings.
3. Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
4. Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
5. Ensure asset management contractual obligations are met by the IT OO
6. Administer software audits initiated by software publishers as well as internally initiated software audits.
7. Manage validation of hardware assets with IT Outsource Organization.
8. Review Asset management policies and procedures and ensuring IT OO's compliance.
9. Generate Purchase Requisitions and receive invoices in Oracle ERP system.

Skills:
REQUIRED:
1. Conceptual knowledge of Information Technology
2. Written and verbal communication skills
3. Proven researching ability
4. IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience
5. Experience interpreting software licensing terms and conditions
6. IAITAM CSAM certification
7. At least 3 years experience of Software Asset Management

DESIRED:
1. Knowledge in Service Now Ticket management system
2. General accounting knowledge
3. Oracle Experience
4. Cloud licensing experience
5. Specific licensing experience in Oracle and Microsoft licensing

Education:
1, Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance or a related field
