Quality Assurance Engineer

Description:
****Candidates must have an Active Secret Clearance or to have had one within the last two (2) years. An Interim Secret Clearance would be accepted****
**** Hiring Manager is only interested in candidates with Navy Experience working on Ships NOT Aviation****

Job Description:
1. Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
2. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
3. Develop, modify, and apply control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
4. Collaborates with quality, engineering, planning and manufacturing organizations to ensure quality standards are in place.
5. Develop and implement/or improve current methods and procedures for producing and inspecting precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
6. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
7. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
8. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
9. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, product evaluation and reliability, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
10. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
11. Analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
12. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Education:
1. Level 1: BS+1-3 YRS
2. BS Degree is required.
3. Secret Clearance - Interim Acceptable to start.
4. Hiring Manager is only interested in candidates with Navy Experience working on Ships NOT Aviation.
