Aviation aluminium alloy thick plate product development expert - China.

Duties and deliverables:

Provide professional knowledge training on chemical composition design of 2/7 series aviation aluminium alloy thick plates.
Sort out the production process of homogenization, hot rolling, solid solution and aging of client's 2/7 series aviation aluminium alloy thick plate, and put forward optimization suggestions.
Through the adjustment of chemical composition and production process, the mechanical properties, fracture toughness and fatigue properties of 2/7 series aviation aluminium alloy thick plates are improved, so that the mechanical properties meet the B value requirements in MMPDS.
Professional knowledge training for 2/7 series aviation
aluminium alloy thick plate technicians.
Training on the certification process of 2/7 series aviation aluminium alloy thick plates.
Guidance is given for the process quality control of 2/7 series aviation aluminium alloy thick plates.
Onsite work for one year to complete the work, focusing on the process optimization of 7050 - T 7451 aviation thick plate, so that the product performance can meet aviation standards AMS 4050 and MMPDS B value requirement.

Candidates should have strong experience of Aluminium alloy thick plate processes related to aerospace products and be degree qualified. Strong understanding of materials specifically aluminium.

This role is offered on a contract basis and will require some time to be spent onsite with our client in China. It can be an interesting opportunity for candidates that have the relevant skills and experience to deliver upon the tasks detailed. Candidates must be prepared to spend a proportion of their time living and working in China, approximately 1 year.
