Summary:
Position Responsibilities Include:
Develops mechanical systems component detail and assembly designs. Analyzes results and performs design reviews. Develops and maintains product detail, assembly and installation designs. Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of mechanical system parts and assemblies. Develops basic statements of work. Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
KEY SKILLS:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
5+ years of experience in mechanical system design or analysis
Experience with aircraft and rotorcraft hydraulic systems, fuel systems, and ECS sub-system and component design and qualification requirements
Experience with hydraulic and fuel sub-systems and components including pumps, valves, actuators, reservoirs, heat exchangers, fuel bladders, fuel gauging and controls
Experience with the development of ECS sub-systems and components including fans, heat exchangers, ducting, sensors and controls
Experience with the integration and installation of hydraulic, fuel, and ECS sub-systems and components in aircraft
Experience working with computer aided design (such as CATIA, Siemens NX)
