Avionics Engineer

Description:
This Senior Avionics Communication/Navigation/Identification (CNI) Engineering position is focused on performing: technical planning, system design and integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

This candidate will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints, perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

The selected candidate must have laboratory integration experience with Airborne CNI Systems.

The selected candidate must be a self-starter and able to work cross-functionally with other Engineering disciplines, Program Leadership, and external Customers and Suppliers.

The Advanced Development Program (ADP) environment includes complex, integrated system requirements, aggressive milestones, and dynamic task prioritization. The selected candidate must be willing to employ innovative approaches to maximize program performance.

The selected candidate will be required to prepare and give briefings as required to Customers, technical leads and/or Lockheed Martin management. The candidate must possess exceptional people skills and oral and written communication skills. Minimal travel may be required to Customer facilities and Lockheed Martin sites.

The selected candidate must have a secret clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years and be able to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) access.

Basic Qualifications:

5- 10 years of professional experience

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, System Engineering or closely related technical degree.

Required Skills:
5- 10 years of professional experience
The selected candidate must have experience in a laboratory environment using Airborne CNI Systems.
