Job Description: Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

KEY SKILLS

1+ years of experience with MIL-HDBK-516 and implementing military airworthiness processes OR would consider 516C experience or EMAR21J would be acceptable. FAA experience might also work if they have strong background in Structures or Aero integration experience. Ideal candidate would have 5+ years in either of those disciplines and would then have experience working across those functions so that on their programs, they can advise design teams on how to make choices that will
Experience with the operation of aircraft systems and knowledge of aircraft performance in one or more of the following areas:

Aerodynamics stability and control structures.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in FAA certification
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to meet aggressive schedules
Experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
Experience leading a large project or program which required the use of project management tools and processes
Experience with the operation of aircraft systems and knowledge of aircraft performance in one or more of the following areas:

propulsion or mission systems a plus but not required. Preference for experience in structures or aerodynamics over propulsion. Experience in other functions (propulsion, mechanical systems, mission systems, etc) is nice but are not as needed as structures or aero. 100% REMOTE!!! must be in driving distance of a company facility

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
1+ years of experience with MIL-HDBK-516 and implementing military airworthiness processes
Experience working with or on an engineering team
Experience with the operation of aircraft systems and knowledge of aircraft performance in one or more of the following areas: aerodynamics, stability and control, or structures.

An active U.S. Secret or active Top Secret Security Clearance
Experience in FAA certification
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to meet aggressive schedules

Experience with the operation of aircraft systems and knowledge of aircraft performance in one or more of the following areas: propulsion or mission systems
Experience with planning project budgets and monitoring financial performance
