Project Engineer

Description:
General Summary:
• Interact with Engineering Leads and DERs to understand the criteria for determining the need for FAA conformity inspection.
• Interact with certification, quality, supply chain organizations to ensure that the data in company systems reflect the engineering definition and is sufficient to successfully plan the execution of FAA conformity per requirements.
• Provide accurate and concise reports that reflect current status and trends.
• Recommend actions to correct possible deviations and / or concerning trends.
• Coordinate the identification of possible process issues and their resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the work to:
• Support DERs and Engineering Leads with validation of the correct application of criteria to determine need for FAA conformity.
• Support the management of RFCs in Teamcenter
• Create and keep updated a “database” to hold or connect information involved in the conformity process.
• Support data entry in company systems
• Track the completion of RFC in Teamcenter
• Create associated reports associated with the execution of FAA conformity.
• Communicate status to management and other departments.
• Support the harmonization of involved process to optimize the use of resources while minimizing re-work.

Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:
• BS in Data Management / Business Administration / Engineering
• Minin um of 5 years working with FAA related processes of conformity inspection
• Excellent data analysis and communication skills
• Minimum of 3 years as advanced user of Product Life-Cycle management products, preferably Teamcenter.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel

Physical Requirements:
1. Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
2. Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
3. Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
4. Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
5. Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
6. Effectively communicate in Business English language.
7. Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
8. Pull, push, carry, lift, or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided “reach assistance technology” or “movement assist technology” (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly’s, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
