CNC Programmer

Description:
Nesco Resource has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Programmer to join a fast paced and growing manufacturer in the Seymour, CT area. The opportunity is for 1st Shift, Monday-Friday.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Sheet Metal with the ability to work in a changing and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

... what you will be doing

Program all new jobs and existing jobs that require modifications

Develop programs for laser, turret and punch/laser combination machines using CAM software

Draw, modify or change model files using CAD software

Design and develop fixtures for new weldments and assemblies

Assist with design of special tools needed for fabrication

Assist management with 3D models and programs for equipment

Assist customers with design; develop and release blueprints to the operation for manufacturing and fabrication

What you will need to be successful:

High School Diploma or GED with 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong knowledge of sheet metal in a manufacturing environment

Proficient in 2D CAD, CAM and Solidworks; ability to create drawings

Strong ability to communicate with customers both in oral and written forms

Ability to work efficiently with other key employees to accomplish good service for the operation and our customers

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 am 3:30 pm

Position Type: Temp to Hire / Right to Hire

Pay Rate: $20.00 to $25..00 Hr Depending on Experience
