P&ID Project Engineer

Description:
Qualifications needed:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the following areas:

Process Engineering – Fluid dynamics, heat transfer

Project Startup / Commissioning experience

Practical instrumentation knowledge

Ability to read, understand, create and modify P&IDs

Basic electrical engineering skills – schematics, single lines, etc.

Problem solving skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data

Understanding of design standards, technical provisions

Computer literate – Excel, Word

Good Communication Skills

Willingness to work flexible and extended hours

Qualifications that are a plus:

Previous experience on brewing or packaging projects

SAP experience

Construction / project management experience

Responsibilities:

Act as owner’s representative to execute project scope and schedule

Participate in design development and execution

Create equipment specifications, interface with vendors and procurement

Drive device check-out and start-up activities

Job Location: Newark, NJ
Rate: 45-65/hr.
Per Diem: split
Overtime: Yes
Duration: 7 months
Start Date: ASAP
