Software Configuration Manager or Software Engineer

Description:
Cogent Infotech is seeking a Software Configuration Manager (SWCM) OR Software Engineer for our Client in Richardson, Texas. Join our Team and work with some of America’s top Aerospace and Defense companies. The position requires a Top Secret/SCI Clearance and a STEM degree.

This is a 100% On-site position requiring an existing TS/SCI Clearance.

The Software Configuration Manager or Software Engineer will perform Software Configuration Management (SWCM).

In this role you will:
Design and implement the configuration management of an automated build pipeline:
Develop and maintain the infrastructure as code and software identification strategy
Design and implement semantic versioning of the build products
Develop and maintain the baseline promotion process and align to successful testing performed within the pipeline
Administer the infrastructure and source code repositories
Develop and maintain automated scripts to perform builds and deployments

Skills you need:
Required Skills:
Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Minimum 2 years of experience in software development, software configuration management, or systems administration
Minimum 2 years of experience with a version control repository such as BitBucket, Jira, GIT, Artifactory, IBM Rational ClearCase, Subversion, or Azure DevOps (Team Foundation Server)
Minimum 2 years of automation experience scripting in LINUX, Unix, or Windows
Software defect workflow administration and management

Desired Skills:
Infrastructure as code configuration management
Experience with software development in Cloud-based and virtual environments
COTS/FOSS Configuration Management
Atlassian Tool Suite, PERL, Python, ANT, Gradle, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible
Configuration Management Certifications

Education:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 6 years of experience.
