Description:
Job responsibilities:
• This systems security position requires someone with excellent engineering capabilities, and presentations skills. You are passionate about cyber security, customer satisfaction, computer programming, quality, team building, and continuous process improvements.
• You have back ground in software development and hardware integration for the purposes of being able to identify security concerns and for being able to communicate with hardware and software engineers. You will also integrate with a team of other security professionals.
• Create security scripts in Bash or Python
• Author testing procedures that verify the configuration of the information system
• Execute, analyse and assess the results from vulnerability, integrity and malware scans.
• Investigate security incidents and evaluate mitigations and remediation to prevent re occurrence.
• Perform security control risk assessments.
• Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions with an emphasis on network, hardware and software security.
• Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, technical parameter integration and compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces from a security perspective.
• Performs security analyses that provide safety, reliability, regulatory, certification, maintainability, testability, automation, human systems integration, vulnerability, and system security quality factors to ensure mission success.
• Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risks, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes with an emphasis on security.

Preferred skills:
• Security+ - CompTIA
• CISSP – ISC^2
• CEH – EC-Council

Education / Experience:
• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
• In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
