JOB TITLE: Airworthiness Inspector (A&P)
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $36.04 per hour

Summary:
Physically inspect aircraft and components to ensure they meet quality standards and are airworthy, with all required documentation accurately completed.
Perform quality control inspections on aircraft and components in the Repair Station.
Inspect aircraft, engines, and component repairs/alterations to ensure FAA conformity.
Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection needs during maintenance or outfitting.
Maintain accurate, legible records of work performed.
Work with RTS to ensure timely production of accurate aircraft records.
Conduct maintenance documentation audits for accuracy before approval for return to service.
Ensure aircraft/components are airworthy before any flight activities.
Mentor technicians on effective documentation practices.
Communicate with management regarding work assignments and schedules.
Monitor compliance with FAR Part 145 and Repair Station Quality Control Manual.
Complete FAA conformity inspections and present certification data to FAA for approval.
Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
4 years of experience with large/mid-size aircraft.
Proficient in Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), FAA forms, and documents.
Skilled in blueprint reading, shop mathematics, and QC procedures.
A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Proficient in computer skills.
Must be able to work all shifts.
Able to climb ladders/stairs, work in restricted areas, and lift up to 40 lbs.
