Detailed Job Description:

The aerodynamics team has a wide range of responsibilities; specific skills are not duplicated across the company. Individuals must be highly motivated and driven to learn and master new skills with minimal oversight. The candidate must be able to complete tasks to the appropriate level of detail while considering cost and schedule requirements.

The aerodynamicist designs, develops, and test helicopter components (such as main and tail rotor blades, fuselage contours, and fairings) in model scale through wind tunnel tests and in full scale during flight test. He or she performs aerodynamic analysis, establishes aerodynamic specifications and design criteria.

Qualifications include:

Masters degree in aerodynamic or aeronautical engineering
Proficient in fluid dynamics and rotorcraft aerodynamics
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) STAR-CCM+
Experience with MATLAB, JAVA, Python, C++ desired
Proficient in CFD mesh generation, analysis and post processing software preferred
Proficient MS Office
