Embedded Software Engineer - DO-178

Description:
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking talented Sr. and Staff Embedded Software Engineers for our global leader in the aerospace market. This is an outstanding career opportunity with a world class organization.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

6-10+ years of embedded systems design, development and verification experience.
DO-178 and Design Assurance Level (DAL) knowledge is a plus.
Python and C experience.
Agile methodologies expertise is a plus.
Capable of writing software requirements that meets system expectations, and participating in system requirement reviews.
Project technical leadership or team lead experience highly desired.
Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills and analytical calculation skills.
Make recommendations as to new design/analysis tools, and/ contribute to process improvement activities.
Contribute to design, support and test of complex software systems and sub-systems
Expertise with software development, and simulation/analysis tools, including: editors, compilers, linkers, debuggers, code analyzers, version control systems, software testing tools, etc.
Develop/facilitate test plan execution.
Drive project planning efforts, including project task definition, and may develop/evaluate plans and criteria.
Contribute to client proposal technical writing and cost estimation.
Will act as a leader for engineering technical reviews and the evaluation of new opportunities.
Participation in the strategic planning process, and may maintain a high level of customer contact.
Expertise in root cause analysis is a plus.
Lead and improve engineering functions such as E/C Review Committee.
Excellent teamwork, written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
Education:

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a similar discipline) is required.
MS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a similar discipline) is a plus.
Duration: Direct Hire

Compensation/Benefits/Relocation: Up to $146,000 + annual salary, with an outstanding bonus, excellent benefits, and available relocation package, etc.

Location: Greater Chicago, Il area

Work Schedule: Hybrid work schedule
