Procurement Planner

Description:

As a Planner II, you will work for Belcan on behalf of our client in Louisville, Colorado developing your skills to plan and schedule the movement of spacecraft goods throughout the supply chain.

Job Description:
The Planner will plan and schedule the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through our production and inventory process. You will track production activity to help ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials, troubleshoot potential scheduling problems, assist with providing solutions, and track production and material deficiencies and implementing the master production plan through the material management system to execute the program and product life cycle.

**Pay: $30-42/hour with full benefits**
**Initially 2-4 weeks on-site training, then hybrid schedule 2-3 days/week on-site**

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Planning of materials movements, maintenance, and control of planning parameters, planning of demand and deliveries
* Planning materials from internal and external suppliers in a timely and cost-effective way, while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Proactive involvement in tier accountability structure, with timely communication on all issues raised daily
* Responsibility for maintaining proper inventory levels for assigned area/locations utilizing ERP Planning Parameters.
* Create replenishment loads that are optimized to minimize logistical timing.
* Support Master Scheduler in parts analysis, parameter changes, etc. as required and support New product introductions and Phase In/ Phase out processes
* Maintain Planning parameters in Material master to ensure the integrity of the ERP Planning System and all system capabilities are fully utilized for all make versus buy products.
* Support analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly reviews, past dues, inventory, safety stock and all planning parameters, etc.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering (or related field of study) and three years+ of relevant experience. Higher level degree may substitute for experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
* Proficient use in ERP systems
* Experience with the engineering change process.
* Knowledge of master production planning.
* Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications.
* Due to the nature of our work, must be a US Citizen

Preferred:
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and requirements
* Proficiency with CostPoint (Deltek) software
* Certification by ISM is preferred (Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity).
* Fundamental understanding of data, data systems and data management.
* Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience.
* Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
