Quality Director

Description:
A Quality Director Job in Sun Valley, CA is currently accepting applications. This is a direct-hire position with our key aerospace machine shop clients. In this role, you will be responsible for training and managing production employees on the assigned shift, as well as understanding customer expectations of and needs from a product. To be considered for this role, you will have a B.S. Degree in Engineering along with 5+ years of related aerospace quality experience, along with previous managerial experience.

Quality Director Job Responsibilities:
* Drive and promote a Quality culture throughout Coronado Manufacturing along with the Management Team
* Develop and maintain a Quality roadmap consistent with business objectives and growth expectations for the company and align resources to achieve it
* AS9100 Subject Matter Expert with overall responsibility to support and maintain the compliance/certification of the Quality Management System per AS9100
* Manage Supplier Quality, Non-Destructive Testing, Quality Engineering (PPAP's) and Inspection programs
* Manage MRB Process supported with root cause and corrective action processes
* Generate and actively manage quality metrics, trends and Lean activities that drive action and decision making to improve cost, quality and schedule performance
* Actively mentor teammates to develop Quality/Lean skills

Quality Director Job Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Engineering
* At least 5 years of experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment as part of Quality
* Quality Auditing Certification - AS9100
* In-depth understanding of manufacturing methods, materials, testing methods, design development and quality issues involved in aerospace production
* Experience implementing, auditing and improving AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified quality management systems
* Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
* Driven, highly motivated, and committed to improvement
* Creative problem solver
