Semiconductor Applications Engineer

Description:
Johnson Service Group is looking for a Semiconductor Applications Engineer to work for one of our Clients in RI. This person would work in the ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems) power management unit. One would be defining, evaluating, and supporting the products, in line with the business strategy, technical capabilities and customer needs.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain application and systems knowledge of the target market segment
Participate in identification and high-level definition of product opportunities and concepts
Generate detailed product specifications and application use cases
Develop the product validation environment including hardware and software
Validate the product in its end application and writing of validation reports
Collaborate closely with the wider team involved in the product development
Creation of collaterals such as application notes, product presentations, publications, etc.
Provide training to the sales and marketing organization
Provide customer and field support on new and existing products
Qualifications

Engineering degree
Experience in switching power convertors
Familiar with a variety of software and hardware tools
Sense of urgency and the ability to work under time pressure
Ability to synthesize information, write technical reports
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Organizational skills and clear communication
