Training Device Technician 3

Description:

Assists with repairs and tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software. Performs general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components. Conducts functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators. Assists engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment. Seeking an experienced Training Device Technician at the Miami Training Campus in Florida. The Training Device Technician will maintain flight simulators and associated training equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training device;
Conduct functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted equipment.
Assist with repair and test, install, configure, upgrade and assist in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software;

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts
5+ years' experience in the field of simulation, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or trainers
5+ years' experience in testing flight critical systems via simulators and hardware-in-the-loop environment
5+ years' experience with electronic/electrical systems


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience in maintaining CAE, L3, TRU, and FSI Full Flight Simulators;
Experience in assisting in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software.
Associates Degree


Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).



This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
