Role Overview:

As an Avionics Installer I, you will work under moderate supervision to assist in the removal/installation of avionics electrical components, fabrication of wire harnesses, and functional testing of avionics/electrical systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of aircraft systems by adhering to blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in installations, modifications, and the fabrication of wiring and electrical components.

• Help complete tasks within the allotted timeframe.

• Maintain required logs and records.

• Comply with the company's FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and safety regulations.

• Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned.

Other Requirements:

• Technical Certificate in aircraft electrical assembly preferred or successful completion of a youth apprenticeship program sponsored by the Company.

• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• General computer skills and software knowledge.

• Catia/Solumina experience preferred.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• General knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

• Proficiency in using a multimeter.

• Six (6) months accredited schooling in aviation electronics or general electrical experience preferred.

• Familiarity with the use of hand tools such as drills, pneumatic tools, and torque wrenches.

• Experience in the routing of electrical harnesses/cables.

• Familiarity with reading blueprints or 3D models.
