Open to Overseas Candidates wishing to relocate to Canada.

Role:
  • Participate in design and sizing activities for R&T projects from concept to entry into service:  
  • Participate in structure design (metallic & composite) and/or system installation design.
  • Carry out stress activities to define and size major systems or structural interfaces, FEA and analytical hand calculations for example.
  • Carry out stress calculations to assess design solutions and trade studies.
  • Prepare stress reports and formal compliance documents.
  • Participate in problem solving activities and provide technical solutions.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams: aerodynamics, structure design, systems architecture, etc. 
  • Liaise with suppliers, internal and external.
  • Provide visibility to management as needed.
As our ideal candidate:
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of structural analysis experience in static, for primary structures and system components (metallic and composite).
  • You are proficient in using software packages such as MSC PATRAN/NASTRAN, Altair Hyper Works, LS-DYNA as well as CATIAv5 or NX, and the MS Software Suite (MSWord, MS Excel)
  • You have knowledge in object-oriented programming methods. Python is an asset.
  • You have knowledge in design and manufacturing processes of the aerospace industry .
  • You have a good understanding of aircraft production methods and processes.
  • You are autonomous, result-driven and enthusiastic with strong work ethics.
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to suit the audience. You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork.
