Electrical Liaison / System Integration Engineer- onsite Wichita - KS 1909

Description:
Our Client is internationally known for creating the premier passenger to cargo aircraft conversion for an AIRBUS Aircraft. We are seeking a Electrical Liaison Engineer to join the Engineering team supporting cargo conversion site in Wichita, KS.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, review and approve repair data for aircraft defects that are beyond the scope of the applicable FAA approved modification or repair documentation. Coordinate with engineering team to determine and obtain data approval requirements.
Provide basic substantiation for electrical repairs and design deviations. Prepare repair proposals or design improvements for review by engineering team.
Research and review engineering data (drawings, reports, manuals, etc.) defining aircraft electrical system to determine the most efficient method of repair or design improvement.
Provide the primary technical response to Production through continued interaction and visibility with Production personnel.
Support other Engineering groups as workload requirements dictate.
Coordinate activities and communications with the Materials Logistics, Engineering, Production and Quality organizations.
Required Skills and Experience:

An Electrical Engineering Degree and experience utilizing CATIA V5 and/or AutoCad is required or equivalent combination of course work and experience.
Five to ten years’ experience in the engineering field in a hands-on environment preferred. Minimum 3 years’ experience.
Ability to prepare accurate and concise hand sketches for electrical repair or design improvements. Solidworks, AutoCad or Catia experience a plus.
Large aircraft repair experience, preferably on Boeing and/or Airbus aircraft in a Maintenance and Repair Organization (MRO)
Possess knowledge of FAA regulations/certification processes and related requirements.
Possess comprehensive working knowledge of engineering principles, repair and fabrication practices, aviation hardware and general aircraft maintenance operations.
Must be able to deal with customers, vendors, and other departments effectively.
Must possess ability to maneuver around airplanes (i.e., climbing stairs, on work stands, man lifts, etc.) and in confined areas (i.e. cargo compartments, E/E bays, etc.).
Airbus experience is a plus, as this is a freighter conversion project.
