Quality Assurance Inspector

Description:
The primary responsibilities of the QA Inspector is to complete mechanical dimensional inspections of incoming components, assemblies and FAI per AS9102 STD.

Responsibilities:

Verify product and process conformance to requirements through the use of documented inspection methods and processes.
Document or record product and process non-conformances in accordance with documented processes.
Review and investigate non-conformances in accordance with documented procedures. Maintain traceability of required information through established paper-based or electronic systems.
Other inspection related activities as defined by the departmental manager.
Administration of the calibration system for tracking, pulling and recalibration of the tooling and measurement equipments.
Quality control inspector is required to communicate with production workers and work together to develop systems that promote quality.
· Assist production in the assembly of electrical systems and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring using crimping devices and soldering.

· Complete the assembly of both simple and complex components-without supervision

· Complete the fit, function and testing of assembled components

· Determine the most suitable tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

Vocational or formal electrical/mechanical training.
Deep understanding of AS9100 requirements and FA inspection.
Know how to read and interpret moderately complex blueprints.
Highly knowledgeable of blueprint reading and use of measuring tools.
Experience inspecting and testing of electronics, mechanical, molded, and cabled assemblies, as well as printed material and labeling.
Familiar with Zero Acceptance Number Sampling Plans/ANSI Z1.4 Sampling Plans or equivalent experience.
Experience handling non-conformances.
Ability to read, comprehend, and ensure compliance to internal standards, drawings, and customers’ requirements.
Experience using Excel, Word, Access.
Ability to work independently with little supervision; Good team player.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs on a regular basis.
