Steering Sensor Design Engineer

Description:
A Steering Sensor Design Engineer position in Plano, TX is currently available through Belcan. In this position, you will develop steering sensors for OEM and aftermarket, prepare specifications, implement mechanical and electrical designs, and transition products to manufacturing. To be considered for this position you must be a resourceful-self starter who demonstrates careful analysis techniques and instincts.

Steering Sensor Design Engineer job duties:
* Provide technical interface to external suppliers.
* Review and compare internal vs vendor specifications to develop buy/resell products.
* Develop testing and qualification specifications to meet appropriate standards.
* Perform design engineering activities for the development of products, processes, and equipment in support of company business strategies.
* Develop datasheets for new products.
* Support validation and product launch activities for new devices.

Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 5 years' experience or a Master's degree.
* Proven track record in Steering Sensors.
* Experience releasing products into production with a factory team.
* Ability to read customer mechanical and electrical drawings and convert to specifications.
* Experience generating technical drawings.
* Experience managing high volume of technical queries and maintaining information flow to receiving parties.
* Experience designing all types of contact, non-contact and inductive steering Sensors.
* Experience with material selection including conductive polymers and adhesives
* Experience with design tools including Creo, Solidworks and AutoCAD
* Experienced in managing complex projects preferably with a professional qualification.
* Experience with SAP, Salesforce, Daptiv or similar project management tool.
