Description:
Position Responsibilities:
• Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and composite systems and aero-thermal environment
• Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system design/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers
• Performs detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations
• Assists in preparing technical documents such as Source Control Documents
• Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts
• Works under general supervision
• Designs composite parts using advanced materials systems that perform to aero loads, temperatures, and electromagnetic RF effects
• Requires knowledge of composite design, tooling and manufacturing techniques
• Develops composite models and drawings using NX
• Conducts research resulting in new product or business opportunities
• Consults on lean principles and technologies for enterprise wide initiatives
• Documents and communicates producibility best practices
• Knowledgeable in NX for model-based engineering

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Engineering Degree
• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• 5 - 7 years experience with Siemens NX
• 5 - 7 years experience in advanced Aerospace composites design, with composite tooling and manufacturing experience.
