Contract Landing Gear Structural Analyst

Job Description: Contract Landing Gear Structural Analyst

-Perform landing gear and supporting structures development, sizing, and substantiation analysis in support of a new space vehicle development program.
-Create and analyze landing gear finite element models using FEMAP and Nastran.
-Work collaboratively within an agile team to support program requirements and development goals.

Experience

-Minimum 8 years’ experience in Stress analysis of systems/mechanisms
-Minimum 3 years’ experience with analysis of aircraft landing gears
-Experience with Fatigue and Fracture analysis
-Finite element modeling and analysis proficiency using FEMAP and Nastran (NX and MSC).
-Must have familiarity with landing gear design requirements and standards
-Ability to initiate, specify, and perform structural analysis without the aid of legacy tools and methods.
-Fundamental and theoretical understanding and application of classical engineering and aerospace structural development, sizing, and substantiation analysis methods

Education

This position requires an engineering Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university.
