Finite Element Simulation and Structural Analysis Contract Engineer

Job Description: Contract Finite Element Simulation and Structural Analysis Engineer

-Create vehicle-level internal loads and detail structural analysis finite element models
-Perform finite element analyses, results post-processing, visualization, correlation, and internal loads analyses
-Work collaboratively within an agile team to support program requirements and development goals.

Experience

-Total Stress Experience: 10+ years
-Previously responsible for the creation, and management of, vehicle-level (global) FEMs
-Looking for persons who have performed this in the recent past (previous 3 years)
-5+ years of FEMAP experience. Ideally, this is a recent experience.
-Proficient with both Nastran NX and Nastran MSC
-Finite element modeling and analysis proficiency using FEMAP and Nastran.
-Fundamental and theoretical understanding and application of classical engineering and aerospace structural development, sizing, and substantiation analysis methods
-Fundamental understanding of composite materials and allowables, and composite structures design, modeling, and analysis proficiency.
-Ability to initiate, specify, and perform structural analysis without the aid of legacy tools and methods.

Education

This position requires an engineering Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university.
